Alex Lake

Alex has collaborated once more with singer songwriter Findlay Brown on the follow up to 2007's debut album 'Separated By The Sea'. On 'Love Will Find You' the artwork has moved away from the previous illustrative work Alex did towards a more photographic driven treatment. Says Alex, "The album has a stirring 1950's feel to it and this nostalgic vibe was something everyone wanted to capture in the artwork. As well as shooting Findlay I went through my archive of photos taken in such far-flung places as Brazil, America, Morocco, Portugal, the Sahara desert and Poland. I wanted to create an idea of a life lived. Of travel and time passing." Alex then montaged the imagery together to include snippets of song lyrics creating a vibrant, timeless scrapbook feel to the project. Samples of part of the artwork can be viewed here.

Also check out the album cover and Findlay Browns latest performance on the David Letterman show last week.
